Happy New Year to all.
We are continuing to develop the website to make life easier. The previous menu was somewhat lengthy, so we have implemented a minor change to minimise the screen used. The menus will now be displayed as you require them, rather than all being available all of the time.
To expand a menu, simply 'hover' the mouse over the menu heading. The menu options will then expand onto the screen and allow you to make your choice. As you hover over a new heading, the previous menu choice will contract and disappear.
All the menu options are still available.
If you have any queries, or if you have any problems with this, contact the Webmaster using the 'Contact Us' option above. Let me know if you hate it!

Tracksuit Information and Options
Wales Team tracksuits can now ordered.
Please note that no orders will be processed until payment has been received and cleared through the bank. Orders received after the deadline date may not be processed and/or incur a heavy surcharge as it will involve the supplier making single cutting and embroidery runs. In these cases, there will be no guarantee of meeting the delivery date.

The Commonwealth Fencing Federation has proposed some changes to their statutes. The most significant is that of removing the clause allowing those with grandparent from their home Nation as a qualification to represent that nation at Commonwealth Fencing Championships. This rule was implemented in 1993 and has worked well for all to date.
If this rule were to be amended then it would have a severe impact on all Welsh Teams, Junior, Senior, and Veterans.

At this year's Welsh Open, a new award was made for the first time, namely THE WELSH FENCER OF THE YEAR and it was presented to James Taylor. The award has been made possible thanks to the generosity of former Welsh team fencing captain, John Evans.
John was captain of the team for the 1958 Commonwealth Games in Cardiff and had a distinguished record at Foil, with the Welsh team taking the bronze medal. When not on the piste, John was a senior serving officer in the Royal Air Force.
